Nanosecond Optical Circuit Switching

This pilot aims to dramatically increase inference efficiency using Oriole Networks' PRISM fabric, a photonic switching architecture that achieves nanosecond-level circuit reconfiguration. By replacing traditional electrical interconnects with optical switching, the cluster explores whether dramatic reductions in interconnect latency can translate to meaningful gains in end-to-end AI inference throughput.
