Scaling Inference Lab
The only neutral testing environment where emerging AI technologies are evaluated at rack scale against commercial systems, providing strategic insights for future AI infrastructure investment.
We are looking for new technologies to test in future clusters.
The performance of AI technologies relies on the full system, from accelerators to memory, interconnects, cooling and software. Validating novel AI technologies within a full system context is extremely important but presents a formidable challenge. Startups must choose between partnering with a larger organisation and forfeiting significant business leverage, or building the entire system themselves, an approach that is prohibitively expensive and demands expertise outside of their core focus. The Scaling Inference Lab solves this problem by providing a neutral platform where new AI components will be validated.
The Lab will deliver to the UK
Callosum has closed a $100M seed round to accelerate development of its heterogeneous orchestration technology, which is being validated at the Scaling Inference Lab.
Oriole Networks announces their PRISM optical fabric will be deployed at the Scaling Inference Lab, bringing nanosecond-level circuit reconfiguration to Cluster 3.
Cluster 1 officially deployed alongside UK Government announcement of an additional £20m+ in funding to establish a world-class national AI compute testing capability.
